What to expect
Build your confidence and gain additional skills following the BHPA development structure. Work towards completing your Pilot tasks and, if needed, take your pilot exam with us; we provide study materials and videos to help you prepare. Our weekly course is limited to four pilots per instructor, ensuring a higher level of personalized service.

Learn: Flight tasks
- Thermal flying instruction/skills - theory and practice
- Graduated Flight exercises
- Pilot tasks
- Enhanced site assessment
- Advance Glider control techniques
- Gaining more airtime
- Flight planning and decision making
- Debrief of your day utilising launch and in the air video
- Understand and demonstrate foundation layer knowledge of “Decision to fly” including human factors for safety, group pressure, currency and pressure to fly when one not flown for a long time.
Learn: Sites, conditions and meteorology
- Understand and demonstrate site assessment & weather conditions for the day
- Understand airflow and turbulence at different sites.
- Understand and demonstrate suitable take off and landing areas
- Understand what is happening around you with regards to the weather and understand how this will affect your flight
Learn: Glider control
- Understand and demonstrate different launch techniques in light and strong wind, by the end of the week you will have practiced at least 5 different launch techniques
- Understand and demonstrate advanced landing technique
- Understand and demonstrate big ear and speed bar combinations for fast descent and awareness of its limitations.
Introduction to cross country flying
- Via our unique grid challenge.
- Thermal theory and thermal practice
- Your first cross country
- Your week will be videoed from the ground and in the air. A copy can be provided at a small cost. Ask for details.
We utilize a retrieve system with modern tracking technologies such as Live Track 24 and WhatsApp. We recommend downloading these apps to your mobile device before arriving to ensure seamless communication and tracking.
We also use XContest, and it’s a good idea to join this platform before your arrival.
For additional tracking and flight logging, we use Flyskyhy for iPhone and XC Track for Android device
What do you need
You will need a complete set of paragliding equipment including, Wing and Harness, Reserve, Radio and Vario.
Don’t forget Helmet, gloves and appropriate clothing.

Airport transfers are not included but can be organized for you at a small cost. We pick up and drop off Saturday mornings.
Shared accommodation is included on this course.
We have 2 Traditional Spanish houses located in Algodonales, close to the centre.
With 8 bedrooms, kitchens, WiFi, sun terraces, 4 bathrooms, en suite options, shared or single rooms.
€100 Deposit is required to guarantee a place. This can be paid online or bank transfer. The remaining balance is to paid on arrival.

BHPA Registered
Our school is recognized by the British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association (BHPA), ensuring that we meet all the requirements for teaching and can qualify students through the BHPA educational system.

FAI Ippi Card
FAI APPI is a global network of schools and flight centers. An International Pilot Proficiency Information (IPPI) Card serves as proof of your flying experience and proficiency, allowing you to convert your rating to that of your home country.
